ITV Central News featured Areca Design’s latest innovation – which combines ancient history with cutting-edge mobile technology – Augmented Reality (AR).
Anyone with an iPhone, iPad, modern Smart Phone or Tablet can visit the Evesham Tourist Centre, pick up a Trail guide, download the FREE App (click the links below to view the app downloads) and go on the trail.
The trail works by the visitor using their smart-device to scan one of the old buildings, tourist information signs or sculptures identified as trigger-points on the card and watch as Brother Oswold (Evesham’s Monk) appears on their mobile screen to tell them some more interesting facts about that trigger-point.
This is one of many uses of Areca Design’s Augmented Reality innovations, others include bringing 3D models of proto-types, products or developments to life from plans and generating more value from print or adverts by triggering interactive presentations and videos.

When you’re next in the Evesham area why not stop by and have a go at the Evesham Historic trail yourself.
